Oprah’s no diet, diet. Whatever!

My friend made me promise to watch Oprah and her latest weightloss endeavour as she has to work late tonight.

What I won’t all do for my friends!

So there was Oprah, with Geneen Roth, author of a New York Times best selling book.

I have to admit to finishing off the rest of my 100g Cadbury’s Wholenut that I bought last night, a heap of Marie biscuits and a cup of tea, all during the programme.

The topic of diets do that to me. What can I say.

According to Oprah, the book about not dieting has changed her life. She looked so hopeful, shame.

But we, Oprah viewers, have seen all this before.

Food addiction, self-hatred, abuse, etc.

I know it’s easy for me to talk or write. I haven’t needed to lose weight yet.

However, the fact that people are forever on diets, looking to lose weight is because of excessiveness and inactivity.

We eat more than our bodies need and then sit for hours behind a desk or on the couch.

And people like Oprah make matters worse by looking for psychological reasons.

It’s quite simple. People who are not overweight eat less and are more active.

The rest is just a money machine.

I could write a book and get rich with this crap.

People, once again…the secret is this:
If you eat more than is necessary, your body will store the excess as fat.

You can read a million books. Journal every bite you take. Count every calorie.

It will make no difference if you continue to eat too much. Regardless of your reasons for eating, as valid as they might be.

Here’s another thing…if you are happy with your body as it is, good for you.

It’s no one else’s business.

Yeah no matter what million-dollar lose-weight-now program you buy yourself into, if you keep on gobbling on that frenchies and smoothies while watching Oprah, you sure are not going to shed any pound. Oh yeah, sobbing for hours straight because of your plight will not help either.
