My Saving Grace!
These days I’m finding it a bit difficult to be at work. It comes from not being able to trust the people around me.
Need I bring up the gossiping and bad office conduct again?
Anyway, I’ll be moving into a new office area (where I’ll hopefully be less visible) within the next two months. And I’m taking a few days leave in July. So there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Meanwhile my saving grace right now is our fragrant garden, which I helped plant just more than a year ago. I visit it at least once day to remove dead leaves and flowers. And just breathe in the scent.
It’s a few minutes where I’m away from my desk, but it’s also a few minutes where I don’t feel like I need to be wary – unless of course someone somehow decides to join me. Fortunately it doesn’t happen often.
Our lavender is flowering, as you can see above. I’m loving it!
We also have mint, rosemary, and some other stuff that isn’t as easy to remember.
My new office space is supposedly going to look out on the garden. I can hardly wait!
