Today we had to do a reflection in our staff meeting.
We were asked to write about our physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual states.
It’s never easy for me to think in a large group, even though I’ve known a few of them for years.
So I kept mine short and sweet. But when I
got home a few more thoughts crossed my mind:
Physically
Couldn’t be better. I feel great and the yoga effects shows physically and emotionally.
Intellectually
Here as well I think I’m adequately covered.
Emotionally
Currently I feel reasonably balanced. Although it hasn’t always been that way so far this year.
Also, with exams two weeks away, who knows…
I’ve been trying to remain on an even keel by putting reminders on my phone telling me to breathe. And some other messages as well.
Spiritually
Although I dont have any spiritual or religious practice, I try to be guided by my conscience. Like not eating meat!
For now I’m enjoying the balanced feeling and hopefully when the next low hits I’ll remember that the wheel will eventually turn again.

I’ve just read the most shocking tv news on TVSA! Connie Ferguson, who plays Karabo Moroka, is leaving Generations.
That’s like saying Brooke is leaving the Bold and the Beautiful.
We’ll still see Karabo on our screens until October, even though Connie tapes until August.
The worst part is that Karabo will probably lose in love AGAIN!
Ag shame.
We’ve had Karabo missing in action for 6 weeks when Connie had an operation last year. And that was bad enough as it is.
However she’s leaving on her own, so all that’s left is to wish Ms Ferguson well.
Many of us though will miss seeing Karabo Moroka on our screens every week day night.

President Zuma goes from one blunder to the next. Now he’s gone and declared his HIV/Status, supposedly his intention was to encourage people to get tested.
When I heard him on the news say that he was HIV negative, my first thought was disbelief.
Because we all know he knowingly had sex with a woman who is HIV positive.
Other than the fact that the woman did not willingly agree to being intimate with him, the president made matters worse by testifying in court that he hadn’t used a condom, but showered afterwards. Implying it was enough to avoid contracting the disease.
We also know that the president has three current wives and a fiance. And he had an affair with Irvin Khoza’s daugther, resulting in a pregnancy.
While knowing how sexually irresponsible Jacob Zuma is – how can he be the spokesperson for safe sex or anything around HIV/AIDS?
The man has just been lucky that he hasn’t contracted the disease and passed it on to his wives and girlfriends.
Lesson 1 anyone can learn from the Zuma situation is that you can go around and have irresponsible sex, take a shower afterwards and move onto the next woman.
Get tested and continue on your merry way while some other random person can have sex just once and contract the disease.
Lesson 2 we can learn from our President Jacob Zuma my fellow South Africans, is to grow a thick skin. It protects you from political enemies, courts of law, as well as from HIV.

Lukas and Vince are determined to get San-Mari’s tickets to the World Cup opening. Vanessa decides on an artist. Hilda is convinced that Oubaas isn’t going to come back. Emma tells Felicity that her mother suggested that she give the baby up for adoption.
Richard sees Altus and Paula together and he’s fuming. He later confronts Paula. San-Mari helps Felicity with a physiotherapy session. Ryno asks Errol to speak at the book launch. Lukas catches Clara and Diederik out.

San-Mari’s reign of terror against the Paula/Altus relationship came to a violent end Wednesday night. I haven’t enjoyed a klap as much as when Paula’s chomma aka Flooze, aka Hotlips knocked the jealous red-head out for the count.
San-mari was still happily trying to ruin Paula’s relationship with Altus, even after seeing how heart broken Paula was.
She again tried to get Paula’s ex-boyfriends to call her when the Flooze overheard a telephonic conversation San-Mari was having. Flooze confronted San-Mari and warned her to stay the heck out of Paula’s business.
Next thing I knew, San-Mari was laying on the floor – out for the count.
In this evening’s episode, she sported a black eye. And for her trouble she was warned to stay away from Blondie (Paula) and Blommetjies (Altus) or have every bone in her body broken.
Newly evil San-Mari threatened to put Flooze on the streets.
Hilarious stuff.
