SA National Anthem Butchered in France
OMW! That video of the national anthem before the SA vs France rugby match is something else!
It was also the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Bryan Habana’s disbelieving grin and Schalk Burger’s look of horror was priceless.
Sorry Springboks! But it was hilarious to me.
The man, called Ras Dumisani, couldn’t hold a note, yet he described himself as South Africa’s best reggae ‘singer’.
The French blame the South African embassy for recommending the man.
Though the embassy denies this saying they gave the French a list of South African singers living in France.
Now they have half of South African rugby supporters laughing ourselves silly, while the other half are furious, demanding we declare war on France.
The rugby result was far from funny mind you.

I missed the game so missed this little gem too. My first reaction was much like Habana’s face and Schalk’s look of horror and the second time round I laughted. He calls himself a singer? Oh my. I doubt he is very successful unless only the tone deaf or permanently stupid buy his music.

He’s certainly known now. And he did give some of us a laugh.
May he go back to obscurity now.
