SA’s Got Talent: Semi-final 3
The third SA’s Got Talent episode had only one child, Kalon, left.
So at least the other contestants stand a chance of getting one of the two final spots left.
First up was 14 year old Julian Hepburn singing Mack the Knife.
One of the better singers in the semi-finals, I thought.
A good, if not spectacular start to the show.
Randall thought he was good, but not good enough. Shado called him a natural. Ian thought he sang fantastically, but was probably nervous.
After the first break was entertaining juggler from Bloemfontein Louis Cason.
Louis had a few things go wrong, including dropping balls, but he did look good doing it.
We heard a lot of balls jokes, but shame there was no positive spin even from Shado. Though she tried.
Next were girl dance group Cadence.
Will this be the first group of entertainers to go through?
Not as good as last night’s Show Stopaz. I can’t say I was impressed, but they got a standing ovation.
Randall said their hard work paid off. Ian said they were nearly 100%. Shado said they rocked.
Tonight’s show does not compare as well as the first two semi-finals.
And this before dog ladies even started their act.
Ingrid, Yvonne and the border collies were the fourth act of the show.
All I can say is that they did their thing.
One of the dogs started barking, don’t know if that was part of the act.
Randall was the only judge who didn’t buzz them before their act was done.
The other two judges did not enjoy the act.
Like Jody, they were a waste of a semi-final spot.
Then it was the brothers Willem and Louis from Stellenbosch.
They did not disappoint at all.
My favourite act of all so far. And not only tonight.
Loved them.
Louis said he hadn’t got his ex-girlfriend back.
Rob offered to be his girlfriend based on tonight’s singing performance.
Shado said they upped the game. Ian said they set the bar. Randall said they were the best act of the night, but can do better.
I’m voting for the brothers.
Gregory Mabusela, who plays an instrument made of recycled item called a keke horn.
I loved this act as well. I can’t believe the sound that comes out of what looks like the top of a Coke bottle.
Shado said his keke horn is the best thing to happen to the competition. Ian said that Gregory made him feel proudly South African.
Randall said the instrument isn’t very musical. Although that pretty much sounded like music to my ears.
Much more so than Cleo who Randall put through last night.
Final act was 11 year old Kalon Badenhorst who was so good in the auditions.
He had the crowd going again.
I can’t say I enjoyed it as much as the crowd did.
Ian said Kalon has the moves and the talent. Shado said he has talent. Randall said he showed lot of variation of dance genres.
Ian said tonight’s talent wasn’t as good as last night. Randall said nerves got the better of tonight’s performances. Shado gave her usual platitudes.
My two favourites were Willem and Louis and Gregory.
Pickings were very slim tonight though.

I voted for the brothers. I like animals but that dog act was plain silly.
