Supersport Dumps Joost

E-tv reported that Supersport’s management have chosen not to renew Joost van der Westhuizen’s contract.

Seem’s like his newly published biography, Joost: The Man in the mirror, was the final straw.

Mind you Joost was suspended through most of this year’s rugby season, based on the (at the time) alleged sex tape.

His tarnished image was given as a reason for his dismissal.

Apparently Supersport cannot be associated with a lying, cheating, drug taking former Springbok rugby player.

Joost however believes things are picking up on the work front. He had a gig in Upington recently.

Why Joost and Amor don’t get themselves real jobs and take themselves out of the lime light is beyond me.

Joost’s legacy as one of the great scrumhalves and a gentleman has been overtaken by his recent sleezy past.

The interviews to promote his book will make sure this story of a fallen hero will continue for a while yet.

At what cost to the van der Westhuizens?

      I always thought he was a bit of a wanker…and not because I’m a diehard Province fan :) .

      LOL Claudine. He was a great rugby player – even though he didn’t play for WP :-)
