Cricket: JP Duminy for President!

Written on October 9, 2009 – 9:35 am | by Glass Pearl |

So JP Duminy all but won the Twenty20 club Champions League match for the Cape Cobras last night!

For a while there, it looked as if the Cobras were destined to a losing start to the series.

Royal Challengers Bangalore were in control right until the very last few overs of the match.  The Cobras looked pretty ordinary in the field, dropping catches and when their first two wickets fell for almost no runs.

(Argghhhh Herschelle Gibbs! Not again!)

And then Duminy showed why was so highly rated.

JP scored 99 not out, off only 52 balls to lead his Cape Cobras to a 5 wicket win with 2 balls left.

Makes one wonder why the same players lose their confidence when they play for the Proteas.

We all know Duminy is one for the big occassion as he’s shown is last summer in Australia!

Duminy for President of Cape Town!
