WP Top of the Currie Cup Log??!!
What’s happening to this world? Our very own Western Province is top of the Currie Cup log, with only one game to go before the semi-finals.
Had you told me that at the beginning of the season, I would probably have laughed my head completely off!
But there they are…players in a team I hardly know.
That wouldn’t have been the case a few years ago, when I was a lot more interested in team selections and behind the scenes stuff.
Now all I care about is that WP score tries and in the process hopefully win.
Luke Watson has lead the team very well, regardless of all the controversy that followed him all over the show.
We’ll certainly miss Watson when he leaves for Bath later in the year.
Us WP fans will likely only get really excited after the semi-finals and maybe not even then. It’s been 8 long years since we’ve won the Currie Cup.
So it’s game by game from here on in!
