Will you take your man back?

Relationships are complicated matters as we all know.

For an outsider its easy to say “kick him to the curb and move on”. But is it that easy to leave your husband or boyfriend.

I’ve always maintained that if a boyfriend physically abused me one time, that would be it. And fortunately I’ve never had to put that resolve to the test.

Someone though told me her husband shoved her around once, causing her to fall and hurt herself.

My advice to her was to lay a charge with the police, get a restraining order if needed and go to a woman’s centre or FAMSA for counselling.

Surprisingly my thoughts were that their children needs both their parents! And that they should try and work things out first, especially in this recession.

Things arent so cut and dried as one would like to think.

Here’s another dilemma:

Kicking him out is one thing but would you take a cheating husband back if he left you for another woman?

Again on a personal level – never, never, never.

But then again I’m not a woman like Linda on 7de Laan, who built a family, life and home with a man like Tim.

As unthinkable as it is for me, I can see why a woman would take a cheating husband back.

Especially if it only happened once.

The answer like lies in the sayin ‘don’t judge…unless you walked a mile in another person’s shoes.’
