Enough Already about Michael Jackson
Without being too callous – I’ve really had enough of all things Michael Jackson for now.
Like many other people, I enjoyed the Thriller album back in the 1980′s, endured the hairstyle and clothing style that became (and still is) famous in certain areas on the Cape Flats.
And pretty much ignored everything the man said and did after the 1990′s rolled around.
Now that he’s died, Michael Jackson’s death is being milked for all it’s worth by the media and as well as some entrepreneurial spirits.
The same people who called him names and mocked his looks, are behaving as if we were all caught in a time-warp. The Thriller and pre-Thriller era.
I just looked at my RSS feeds and lo and behold there are more Michael Jackson stories to be had.
Rumours of murder are doing the rounds!
What the heck??
And SABC 1 last night repeated the Moonwalker movie (that should never have seen the light of day in the first place).
If I see that video of “They don’t really care about us” on SABC 3 one more time, I will not be held responsible for my actions!
Or even seeing little Paris Jackson crying into a microphone – the first few times got a tear or two – but enough already!
Really, it is overkill.
Yes, Michael Jackson is the King of Pop and his music will probably entertain generations to come, but all this media attention is too much…far too much.
