Demerits rumours Untrue
Yesterday emails did the rounds claiming that the new demerits traffic fining system would start today.
This is untrue.
As Aden Thomas said on Cape Talk this morning, who actually starts some new law on the 8th of the month?
And would taxi drivers and owners accept it without some sort of protest.
While the system is necessary and will come into effect, it will only happen in 2010.
