Last season’s champions, the Rajasthan Royals put themselves out of contention for a semi-final place Wednesday evening by losing to bottom of the table Kolkata Knight Riders.
In the other Wednesday match, the Chennai Super Kings, again without Matthew Hayden, pulled off a win against the Kings XI Punjab, all but ending Punjab’s semi-final chances.
