Someone Please Tell Idols’ Jason His 15 Minutes is Almost Up
I seriously could not care less whether Jason Hartman or Sasha-Lee Davids won SA Idols.
Other than the prizes they won, all they’re getting is their 15 minutes (and a bit) of fame. We’re highly unlikely to even remember them in two years time. If it even takes that long.
Already I’m trying to forget them and the disaster that was the Idols finale.
This morning I heard Jason’s song on 5fm. I heard it start and I heard it finish. The rest faded into the background.
I could see playing that song if I ever needed to fall asleep.
As for Sasha-Lee’s song – who knows if I heard or not. Probably not, because my ears haven’t hurt yet.
Anyway the reason for this post is that Jason told Heat magazine that he would have handed Sasha-Lee the Idols crown if their roles were reversed.
What a change from the classy way he handled the situation at first.
Why would Jason think it’s Sasha-Lee’s responsibility to make that decision. Why did he not say that to Mnet and Idols?
Now when I hear Jason’s song on the radio I will not only be bored, but will also have the image of a petty grown man of nearly 30 years of age instead of the gracious mature man I thought he was.
In actual fact his behaviour is just plain tacky.
A big thumbs down to Jason Hartman.

To the person who said Jason of Idols 5 minutes of fame is almost up I would like to say “GET A LIFE” How boring your life must be. You are either old without a young sense of life or a self-centered youngster with no taste. Jason is a very talented singer and might be able to teach you a thing or two, not to mention your manners. Just reading a magazine like Heat makes me think what you think of life and how much enjoyment you get from rubbish.
Thumbs down to you without TASTE and SENSE

Agie,
We’ll see how long any of us remembers Jason (or Sasha-lee for that matter) or if he sells more than a few thousand records while someone still remembers him.
In a year or two I predict he will be in the same boat as all the other Idols competitors and winners. Even though we swore to buy every album of our favourites and download every song loaded on iTunes.
We’ve been here before after every other Idols competition.
