Fashion Exchange: Save Money and the Environment!

The economic downturn have made people so much more thoughtful about spending money on unnecessary things resulting in us saving the environment and the money in our pockets.

An innovative Capetonian Tonia Zorbas travelled to Australia and came back with a brilliant idea which she called Fashion Exchange.

Fashion Exchange is an e asks that attendees bring 6 fashion items of an acceptable quality, from their wardrobes to a venue – usually a restaurant – making it a fun, social occassion.

Guests are given tokens proportionaly to the items they bring.

Tokens can then be exchanged for clothes or accessories brought by other guests.

You know what they say – one man’s trash is another man’s treasure – in this case woman.

The next event takes place at Sofia Cafe in Rondebosch Village on 9 May 2009 at 12.00pm.  Entry costs R30.00.

Since the event is so popular, tickets have to be booked beforehand.
