SA Idols to Recount Votes! What A Mess!
Capetalk 567 is reporting that Idols might be left with red faces after announcing Sasha Lee Davids the winner of the singing reality show, before all the votes were counted.
Apparently the votes were sitting somewhere, waiting until today, Thursday before making it’s appearance.
How this will affect the result, is anybody’s guess.
Sunday night after a 2 hours show, Sasha-Lee Davids was said to have won the competition, but now Mnet are saying they are recounting the votes.
A spokesman for Mnet said there could be only one winner, so if Jason Hartman comes up with the most votes after this new round of counting, Sasha-Lee will be stripped of the title.
New results will be announced within 12 – 18 hours.
What a mess!
No future Idols competitions will ever have any credibility as people have long been wondering about reality tv programme voting processes.

Why is there nothing said about the person who discovered the mistake in the counting of votes for the idols. She/He is to be commended on doing the job they get paid for. My thanks go out to this person as my votes were amounst the last 5-10 minutes left for the deadline.

I think Mnet blamed the company responsible for accummulating the votes from the cellphone providers. It was said they ran out of bandwidth. Not sure what their name is. It’s on the Idols website.
