Bok Bosses Upset with Peter de Villiers
Here we go again – rugby politics as usual.
Last week Peter de Villiers publicly endorsed the ANC for the upcoming elections at a function in Stellenbosch, causing the rugby fraternity to go ballistic.
No suprise there!
Had he come out as a DA supporter (heaven forbid) or a supporter of an anonymous opposition party, no doubt the reaction would have been less hysterical.
Now the South African Rugby Council has to meet to discuss the whole thing.
What is there to discuss?
The man publicly stated that he intends voting for the ANC as I’m sure many of the rugby officialdom and fans alike intend voting in the opposite direction.
What can rugby officials do? Fire him?
I would like to see them try.
They have more chance of moving the Springbok emblem back to the left side of the Bok jersey.
Will Peter de Villiers now be booed at every single Springbok match like Luke Watson?

This is quite average. Are you giving us your feelings or are you stating the facts ?
It’s quite obvious with your “DA Heaven forbid” and “rugby officialdom and fans alike intend voting in the opposite direction”…
Imagine what it would be like if every sports star or famous person jumps up and babbles his support for a party?? Voting is a personal choice. Peter De Villiers is using his position as Springbok coach to be vocal and show his support. Thats bullsh*t.

Andre,
This is an opinion blog. My blog post is my opinion based on the facts as reported in the media.
Here is enough space for you to give your opinion too.
I guess not everyone in this country is mature enough to respect someone else’s point of view.
So instead of talking to each other, best pretend we all think and feel the same?
Yeah, that will help us move forward. Lets do that.

Andre,
I am not a journalist. I don’t pretend to be one, nor do I want to be one. My day job ain’t bad at all.
If you cant’ handle someone else’s opinion – go read someone who agrees with you on everything.
I pay a LOT more than 10c to run this blog, btw.
