Mandela Forced to Attend Sol Kerzner’s Hotel Opening
This evening Nelson Mandela and his wife Graca Machel are attending Sol Kerzner’s new billion dollar hotel, One&Only’s, opening on the Waterfront.
We can only assume that in Mr Mandela’s fragile state, he must have been forced to attend to bring in the likes of Hollywood’s A list celebrities.
Not even a month ago the ANC was accussed by the national media of dragging the icon out of bed to attend a gathering in the Eastern Cape, putting his fragile health at risk.
I suspect the guest list in the Eastern Cape was far from as illustruous as the V&A one?
Was Mr Mandela’s presence maybe used to lure the likes of Mariah Carey, Sharon Stone and Robert De Niro into Cape Town?
Perhaps the former president was duped into attending the hotel’s opening by telling him he was going for a doctor’s appointment or off to play cards at his local old aged home.
However they got him to Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront, we can only speculate.
More than likely he chose to come to the hotel’s opening, just as he chose to visit the Eastern Cape.
Will the biased mainstream media even report on Mr Mandela’s schmoozing with Hollywood’s A-listers though?
Sure, but definitely not in a negative light!
