SABC 3 Gets Rid of Presenters

Written on March 30, 2009 – 3:57 pm | by Glass Pearl |

Thank the tv gods! SABC 3 have finally seen the light and taken those pointless presenters off our tv screens.

I am currently on 2 weeks annual leave and turned on the tv to watch The View – my guilty holiday pleasure.

The pleasure became a lot more pronounced when one of the presenters appeared on the screen to bid viewers farewell, followed by a notice from SABC 3 announcing a presenter-less future.

Oh happy day!

Those presenters were the bane of my existence.

They ruined many an episode of Survivor and Law and Order with spoiler talk, minutes before the episodes were about to be aired.

I had become proficient about reaching for the remote to silence the irritations.

At times though I had to throw myself across the room, muttering ugly  swear words while trying to find the mute button on the remote control.

Now I can surf the net in peace while watching tv.  No longer will I have to look out for their inane chats.

I hope they all find jobs somewhere, but very happy they’re gone.

I dont understand why they put cricket on sabc 3. Its the only channel thats decent to watch. Why on earth could it not be on another channel thats got garbage on? Not everyone likes cricket, especially if it only takes the decent soaps away. Come on!

    Hi Lindy,
I’m sorry you don’t enjoy the cricket.

Cricket is actually the second most popularly sport, behind soccer in SA. But I understand that not everyone enjoys it.

SABC should probably have a separate sports channel, but they hardly show any sport and they’re broke.
