Welcome Back Ashwell Prince!

Looks like all the Proteas needed was a bit of tension in the dressing room for them to perform. Whatever the reason, well done!

Thursday was the kind of day fans expected at the end of the summer, after 18 months of good cricket the team played overseas.

Even a test win in a dead series counts for something. Look at how the English performed in the 1 dayers after winning the last test of a losing series against South Africa.

Their commentators and media carried on as if they won the World Cup!

Mentally though it also helped England win the 1 day series with a clean sweep.

As recently as January, the Australians won the last test match in a losing series against the Proteas. Again their media heralded the win as a turn around in fortunes (while praising the Proteas for their fight back efforts, one must add).

And turn around it did!

Yesterday South Africa’s bowling was what we came to expect – they bowled fiery overs and took wickets when needed, after a shaky start.

209 runs and 10 wickets later, when SA went into bat, it was another story all together!

Ashwell Prince looked his calm, confident self and Imraan Khan looked like he could play a bit!

A complete turn around of recent times with the openers.

The less said about Neil Mckenzie and what he brings to the dressing room, the better.

Although it does make one wonder what he brought to the dressing room that caused such loyalty from Jacques Kallis and the like.
