Jon Stewart: The White Face of Crime
You’ve got to love Jon Stewart!
For the last few weeks or so, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show has had it in for tv financial advisors. In particular he’s taken on CNBC’s Jim Cramer and others.
Having seen Cramer doing his thing on CNBC Africa has been a bit terryfing. Watching CNBC Africa in general is scary, with their fast talk and quick camera movements. If I had thousands to invest, I would not take advice from that bunch!
But I digress…Back to Jon Stewart.
His guest on last night’s show, Larry Wilmore had the following to say according to the Huffington Post :
Let’s face it, white men in suits are terrifying. You never know when they’re going to steal all your money in a ponzi scheme, steal all your money and give it to other white guys as bonuses, or steal your life savings “and put you upside down in a house you can’t afford.”
As Wilmore points out, it’s gotten so bad even Republicans don’t trust white people, considering that they appointed Michael Steele as head of their party. He adds, “I have a feeling even though they went black, they’re gonna go back.”
Wilmore goes on to give white people advice like, “Don’t try to run from the cops, we’ve tried it and we’re faster than you.”
