Strictly Come Dancing – Computers don’t make mistakes!

This season’s South African version of Strictly Come Dancing hasn’t been blessed with a great range of personalities and dancers. Actually it has been a snooze-fest only interrupted by bad presenting and a few technical errors.

Compared to last year’s Emmanuel Castis, none of the current crop are worth mentioning.

As an admitted reality tv junkie I tuned in last Thursday night for the usual, was quite satisfied that the worst dancer was voted off. Until this morning when I caught up on a few days worth of blogs and found that the worst dancer actually wasn’t voted off.

In my opinion ex-gladiator Garth deservedly was voted off for pretty bad dancing, but the voting public didn’t agree and according to the producers, a computer glitch caused him to be in the dance off, instead of a much, much better dancer.

That’s what you get when the public votes! The worst dancer gets to dance another day.

Blaming computers is not cool! Computers don’t make mistakes, Strictly Come Dancing producers!!! People do and the voting public does not like to hear about mistakes with reality programme votes.

Over the years we’ve had our fair share with Idols then recently the High School Musical talent show.

Not that we are the only country dealing with reality tv craziness.

Less than a month ago the BBC had their own set of reality tv problems when 2 black dancers (rated highest by the judges) ended up having to dance in the bottom two, causing a public outcry. The BBC had to shut down their website for awhile due to the public venting!
