Coke or Pepsi, Instant or filtered coffee
I’m of the school of thought – if it has caffeine in it, I will drink it and ask questions later.
Actually, I’m a bit like a bear with a sore head if I don’t have my morning Nescafe. According to some people I am not a coffee connoisseur, because my coffee is of the instant variety. Sjoe, I almost know what a Sarah Palin supporter feels like.
Who has time to brew coffee in the morning though? Some morning I feel like eating a spoon full of instant coffee to save time. My mornings are crazy enough as it is.
I may be a coffee addict (and not afraid to admit it), but one cup per day is usually enough. In winter a cup or two of tea keeps the caffeine buzz going.
In summer nothing beats a glass of cola. For a long time Coke was the beverage of choice, until Pepsi re-re-re-relaunched with an iPod competition. Nothing makes a caffeinated drink taste better than winning an iPod from its manufacturer.
So last week I headed into Pick n Pay for a cola and found Pepsi with another new logo and a changed shape to its 2litre bottle. I was always fascinated how small the Pepsi 2litre bottle was compared with Coke’s, but now they look the same. It should help make us cola addicts think we’re getting our money’s worth now.
For me the choice has never been between Coke or Pepsi nor between instant or filtered coffee. Just give it to me 100% caffeinated with a decent amount of sugar and I’ll drink it.
