Virtual Insanity
I spend most of my waking hours with a computer or cellphone closer than an arms length away. Actually my cellphone is at my bedside ready to download e-mails first thing in the morning.
Without a doubt I am a technology addict! What’s even more interesting is my knowledge is so limited. I cannot keep up to date with all the latest developments. Of course I know about iPhones, Adsense, Viral Marketing, SEO, WordPress themes, and who knows what else.
Then I come across another blog and I read about people making $500 a month from Adsense, without doing anything. It makes me wonder what I’m missing. Where does all this information come from?
Where do people find the time to write content for their blogs, read other blogs and comment? Where do they find the time to keep up to date with updates and new technology? And then still have enough energy for a social life.
Come Friday evening I am usually totally finished. My brain totally goes into information overload drive and all I can do is veg out on couch.
Of course this has been the first month since I have monetised my website and 7 months since I first learnt to develop my own website. Plus I earn my living in un-IT related field! I haven’t done badly at all.
I keep having to remind myself…baby steps.
