Love is in the Air
I cannot remember a life without Google…one of the longest, most satisfying relationships in my life.
A friend who knows everything, about anything.
My last visit to the dentist was delayed by a Googled temporary relief for toothache.
Vanilla extract worked for me, but apparently a clove or lime works just as well. The dentist removing the rogue tooth proved to be the last resort, but until my appointment I guzzled enough vanilla extract to bake a hundred cakes.
My know-everything-friend Google also misdiagnosed some ailments, but only because sometimes a live doctor needs to work too. Google did however provide enough information for questions to annoy the live doctor.
All this Google love is brought on by a possible catastrophe that was averted in my home this morning. I am only at work in front of my computer this morning because of my friend, Google.
As you might have picked up, I am domestically challenged. I live well within that skin, because I direct my energies elsewhere.
Well, this morning I needed some help with a blocked drain in the shower. I also needed to get ready for work!
After staring at the blockage for what seemed like forever, my craft brain took over. I took out a knitting needle and stuck it down the drain. My hair takes an hour to dry…did I mention that?
The water level did not move a centimeter. I kept calm, tried not to think about going to work with wild hair and got my cellphone.
Google came up trumps! Within minutes boiling water and vinegar saved the day!
My colleague told me this morning that I look like someone who fell in love over the weekend.
Oh yes, with Google. But that would be too weird to say…right?
