About Us
My name is Abigail Abrahams and I live in the most beautiful, vibrant city in the world - Cape Town, South Africa.
I started my business by coincidence after coming across Bidorbuy while surfing the internet one day. After my first auction purchase, the bug bit in a huge way.
For the whole of 2007 I made and sold mainly charm bracelets on auction. The exhiliration and sometimes disappointment of auctions became a huge part of my life. It was also a great way to meet other South Africans and realise the generosity and kindness of people.
My day job in Early Childhood Development, required that I did a web design course. I reluctantly picked the Internet and web design course at UNISA and eventually completed a website as a project. By the end of the course I was not getting any sleep with all the excitement of writing code and seeing it realised on-screen!
I carried the course experience into creating my own website to support my auctions.
Things got more and more interesting the more I learned about marketing my site, to the point where I am blown away by all the interesting parts of the internet.
I am passionate about the internet, business, writing and everything related and am always willing to share whatever I learn.
